Engaging consumers is about connecting with people in the places and through the channels they prefer. It’s about integrating content and context for a richer, relevant, and personalized experience, from the time someone first hears about your brand to the point they’re buying your product and telling their friends about it. Individual marketing channels that work in tandem to promote an offer, promotion, or even a full-blown campaign can give you the “oomph” you need to generate even better results.
Today at The John Roberts Company we were fortunate to have MeadWestvaco Corporation (MWV), a paper company, visit us and WOW was it a pleasant surprise!
Terri Krysan, Account Manager for their Commerical Printing Division, did a great presentation on how the sturdiness of paper enhances quality perception and increases ROI on direct mail campaigns.
The USPS is currently offering several promotions designed to save postage dollars for your direct marketing efforts - specifically direct mail. The Earned Value Reply Mail Promotion and the Premium Advertising Promotion are both running now through June 30, 2014. And, approaching fast is the Mail & Digital Personalization Promotion, which is scheduled to run from May 1 through June 30, 2014. This is the most relevant promotion for the majority of our multi-channel Customers and for those considering a good time to give cross media a try.
It was a busy and exciting week for The John Roberts Company at the 2014 National Postal Forum in National Harbor, MD/Washington DC area.
Not only did the team learn more about mailing operations, data technology and all things “postal,” Rhea Friederichs visited with the Postmaster General and CEO of the USPS, Patrick R. Donahoe. As he stated during his keynote address, “Our industry needs to give all marketers a sense that mail can be used in new ways. We need to drive a better understanding of the value mail brings to integrated marketing campaigns.” This sentiment was echoed in Rhea’s workshop “Cross Media: Constructing an Effective Campaign” on Sunday.
